Liquid State
A liquid is a state of matter that is made up of tiny vibrating particles called atoms. It is the only state with a definite volume but no fixed shape. The molecules are loosely packed and constantly moving. It takes the shape of its container but maintains volume.
Liquid states at a room temperature are water, alcohol, castor oil, gasoline, etc.
Phases
There are phases liquid goes through to turn into other states of matter. For example, when liquid evaporates it converts into gas. And when it freezes it converts into a solid.
